Configuració del servidors rsync

Donat que el Partimage tan sols treballa a nivell de particions, la GhostPC-2 incorpora un mecanisme per esquivar aquesta limitació, de fet requereix de la presència d’un servidor de rsync mínimament configurat.

$ sudo nano /etc/rsyncd.conf 
pid file=/var/run/rsyncd.pid
[repconf]
path = /home/ghostuser/ghosting
use chroot = no
lock file = /var/lock/rsyncd
read only = no
list = yes
uid = ghostuser
gid = ghostuser
strict modes = yes
ignore errors = no
ignore nonreadable = yes
transfer logging = no
timeout = 600
refuse options = checksum dry-run
dont compress = *.gz *.tgz *.zip *.z *.rpm *.deb *.iso *.bz2 *.tbz

Ara ens assegurem que funciona el servidor rsync

$ sudo apt-get install rsync

$ sudo nano /etc/default/rsync

I canvieu:

RSYNC_ENABLE=false

a

RSYNC_ENABLE=true

Ara podeu iniciar el servidor RSYNC:

$ sudo /etc/init.d/rsync start 

Podeu comprovar que funciona amb:

$ ps aux | grep rsync
root      2426  0.0  0.1   2316   852 ?        Ss   11:56   0:00 /usr/bin/rsync --no-detach --daemon --config /etc/rsyncd.conf
sergi     2439  0.0  0.1   2900   772 pts/3    R+   11:57   0:00 grep rsync

i

$ nmap localhost | grep rsync
873/tcp  open  rsync

Ara només falta crear el'usuari ghostuser':

$ sudo adduser ghostuser

Comprovem que funciona i creem la carpeta ghosting:

$ su ghostuser
Password: 

[email protected]:/home/sergi/partimage$ cd 
[email protected]:~$ mkdir ghosting
[email protected]:~$ exit

El mòdul [repconf] emmagatzemarà les dades necessàries per recuperar íntegrament el MBR, la taula de particions i la informació sobre el contingut d’aquestes. Veieu el meu portàtil en dues jornades diferents.
